1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
My favorite word is commitment. Can you imagine a more total commitment than this: “To have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part.”

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
I really enjoy just about anything that is featured on the History or Discovery channels. I am a big “History Buff” and especially like to learn about the wars. I am in the D.A.R. (Daughter’s of the American Revolution.) My Great-Great-Great-Great-Great (five greats) Grandfather served in the Revolutionary War.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
Being too critical of myself is probably my worst habit. When I am committed to something, I try to do my very best to succeed at whatever I have committed to do. I sometimes tend to be too judgmental. This might have to do with my very conservative “Southern Up-bringing.”

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
Bless Your Heart! That would have to be my favorite saying because I say it a lot. In the South, you can say anything good, bad or ugly about someone, which sometimes might sound mean. But as long as it’s followed with “Bless her heart, there is no judgment implied.

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
Monday is my favorite day of the week. It’s a fresh start to a new week. That’s when I write my weekly newspaper articles. I am the most clear-headed on Monday’s and I am so ready to try and make the new week a success!
